MISSION

The mission of the Belton Hope House Ministry is to have as much fun as possible as we teach, encourage, and empower families in our community to come to and grow in a relationship with Jesus.

HISTORY

The Hope House ministry began as a weekly local outreach program of Hope for the Hungry 15+ years ago. In the early days, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volunteers went out to the fields at Mitchell Circle and Belle Oaks to play games with and lead a Bible Story for children in the area.

Over the years, several programs have been added, and a few have dropped as they have followed where the Lord has led Hope House ministry.

In 2014, the Lord provided an opportunity to rent a facility in the Belton Housing Community, and the vision for the Hope House was birthed. In the Fall of 2016, after two years spent adjusting and developing the ministry, Hope House now operates all its programs out of the Hope House, located across from Southwest Elementary School. This provides a central location for the families in their ministry and allows the children to have a space all their own. Because of this building, Hope House no longer has to cancel due to bad weather and can expand its services to find new ways of serving their community.
